.....Ship's Stowaway Rack:..... Vintage stowaway rack salvaged in Australia from the New South Wales Railway & Ferry System. If you look closely at the end brackets you will see the letter NSWR scrolled into the design. Polished brass and mounted on a slab of spar varnished mahogany. - Ships Passageway Teak Ladder: A rare and hard to find solid teakwood ships companionway stairs or what landlubbers refer to as ships ladder or ships stairs. You might want to build a room or house to accommodate this maritime relic as it will need a special place to fit into. Steps will rest level when ladder is 87 inches high and projecting out 44 inches. The width is 23 1/2 inches overall. This piece was made in a British shipyard in the late 1940's as it was removed from the ship MV Hudson Firth built back then. ....Vintage Teak Hatchcover Coffee Table:...Teak hatchcover recovered from the 92 foot yacht "CAT" formerly owned by Liz Taylor. The wood hulled CAT was built in New York in 1927 and her decks and hatches where solid teak. We where fortunate to acquire most of her teak and brass fittings and this hatch is one of the prized pieces from the collection. Painstakenly crafted by Ben Maidhof himself into a stunning piece of marine art furniture. The brightwork was finished by hand & bristol brush using marine shallac and spar varnish.... Six dogs and two hinges, they measure 32" x 61" overall outside and inside they are 26" wide x 54" high. - WW2 USN Ships Wheel Steering Station....A vintage US Navy warships bridge ships wheel steering station. Solid heavy brass and metal base with original mahogany ships helm. Helm measures 43 inches from spoke to spoke. Restored to pristine condition and ready for the home battle. This was salvaged from a South Pacific war wreck many years ago when you still could do that stuff. .....Officer's Saloon Bar:..... A very unique and awesome liquor throne like none you have ever laid your landlubber eyeballs on. The Officer's saloon bar is my favorite, I have one like it my ocean front digs. Even cheap booze looks classy on this thing. - Vintage Brass Ship's Fog Horn & Light......This solid brass 50 lbs in weight fog horn/light unit was salvaged from the topmast of a vintage 1927 yacht named The Cat. She was 92 feet long and at one time was owned by Liz Taylor, who apparently named the huge yacht after her hit movie Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. I have run air through this piece and it works and sounds like the massive fog horn it is. Made by Kahlenberg USA...The long horn measures 21 inches long and the short one 17 inches. The bells are 8 inches in diameter. Stands a total of 24 inches tall and comes with the original lever handle that operated this husky fog horn. Serial number 127948 indicates that this rare instrument was manufactured for the U.S.Shipping Board. The brass 8 1/2" diameter clock dial is the original and has clearly engraved into it US Shipping Board. ....Authentic Engine Order Telegraph...Painstakingly restored Tugboat sized engine order telegraph made by Bendix about 50 to 70 years ago. Very hard to find size as it is smaller than most that I have seen. Stands 40 inches to top of crank order handle and the face plate is about 7 inches diameter. We have mounted this beauty on a slice of salvaged teak decking that was recovered from a 1927 yacht 92 foot in length. The diameter of this base is 10 inches. - Vintage Windlass w/ Gypsy Winch ....This heavy duty Windlass was salvaged from the vintage yacht "CAT" once owned by Liz Taylor. The 92 foot long floating palace was built of hardwoods in 1927 in NY. Age of Windlass unknown, but the "Ideal Windlass Co." didnt open up until the mid-30's. My guess is the winch was made in the 60's or 70's. Winch was said to be working when the boat was scrapped. The outside fittings look in good shape and the gypsy winch accepts 1/2 diameter link anchor chain. I dont know the voltage for sure, but I think it is 110 volts. Needs a good coat of paint, some brass polishing and she will look shipshape...A modern version of this winch would cost thousands...but this seajunk bargain is... $ 575.00......Photo 1.....Photo 2.....Photo 3.....Photo 4.....Photo 5.....Photo 6.....
